The Manta System i Training Forum

December 1, 2007

Manta Technologies Inc. is pleased to announce The Manta System i Training Forum, a chat room devoted to training-related issues in the System i environment. The forum is free to Manta customers and the System i community at large.

Our intent is to provide a place where System i professionals can ask training-related questions. While Manta personnel will be monitoring the site (and answering questions when appropriate), the forum is not limited to questions about Manta courses. We welcome all training-related questions and feedback from all interested parties, including other training vendors.

Following are questions that we expect to be answered on the site:

  • How much training does a typical shop provide to a programmer each year?
  • What's the best way to prepare for the IBM System i Operations Certification Exam?
  • Who provides training on how to set up a single sign-on environment?
  • Can anyone recommend an introductory book on Linux?
  • What is the best annual conference for an RPG programmer?

In addition, Manta authors and technical support personnel will monitor the site for any questions relating to their courses and areas of responsibility.

The Manta System i Training Forum is available at www.mantatech.com/forums. You can also link to it from the Manta web site or from the Help menu of any Manta course.
